It was a stumbling start to 2020 and two-day cricket for A reserve during round 10, with one game partly washed out and the other not going ahead due to a forfeit.
One-day cup premier Creswick Imperials was ready to sink its teeth into two-day but ultimately didn’t take to the field for the round, winning some free premiership points on forfeit from Maryborough.
The Imperials will now be looking to what will likely be a tough clash with Clunes — who had the bye for round 10 — this weekend to get their two-day campaign up and running.
Colts Phelans’ match with Laanecoorie Dunolly did not get underway as scheduled due to a wash out at Hedges Oval on January 11.
The sides were finally able to get out on the pitch for a quick one-day game at the weekend and Colts Phelans headed in to bat first.
Despite putting up a good effort, they were unable to defeat Laane who ran out as victors, with final scores not yet submitted.
B grade fared much better than A reserve with all matches success- fully getting underway.
Natte Yallock and Talbot have again emerged victorious, with the Swans taking a very impressive 146-run win over Carisbrook while the Yabbies toppled a bolstered Mill squad by 40 runs.
