Locals band together to support bushfire relief

Terry Allan and Jim Dewar will be sending this load of hay to Corryong to help fire affected farmers and livestock.

More locals are pitching in to help out those affected by Victoria’s ongoing bushfires and the call has been put out for donations of hay and feed supplies by locals Jim Dewar and Terry Allan.

The pair have banded together to help out farmers and livestock impacted by the blazes and Mr Dewar said the ball is already rolling on donations.

“My wife and I started talking about the fires and I said ‘I think we need to do something for the animals’. I had a chat with Terry and we came up with a plan,” he said.

“The ball is rolling, we’ve got 14 round bales going to Corryong, dog and bird food and two hay feeders. We’ve also got another 40 to 50 bales coming and semi trailers to transport it.

To donate contact Jim on 0429 025 181 or Terry on 0417 569 691.
