Laane bowled out for the first time in season 2019-20 at the hands of Avoca

Despite being bowled all out for the first time this season, Laanecoorie Dunolly still took an enormous lead over Avoca at the weekend.

The Bulldogs did what no other team has been able to do this season, taking 10 wickets against an undefeated Laane side, cutting their very high-scoring innings short by almost 30 overs.

Avoca was confident in its bowling from the outset, sending the visitors in to bat first at the kennel after winning the toss.

Liam Mottram and Justin Bramble opened for Laane, but Mottram (3) was dismissed very early on in the piece by Matt Drummond.

Replacement Zac Polinelli also fell victim to Drummond, bowled for a duck leaving Laane at 2/21.

Bramble and captain Matt Smith took control of the game for Laane, partnering for 142 runs before Smith was caught and bowled by Morganti brothers Josh and Lachlan.

Runscoring powerhouse Zac Graham was next up, but Lachlan Morganti didn’t let him get the chance to contribute, bowling him for no score.

Things fell off from there for Laane with Ryan Potter claimed with no contribution and Bramble (119) dismissed at the hands of Lachlan and Ben Morganti.
