Laanecoorie Dunolly’s list shared in the spoils of a statement win at the weekend, while defeating Maryborough to the tune of three wickets in the process.
After finishing day one at 1/3, trailing Maryborough by 98 runs, Laane wasted no time on Saturday in building to a substantial total of 7/220.
Laane flexed the depth of its talent pool with several batsmen getting the chance to put up big knocks after a fairly limited opportunity in short form cricket.
With the limited overs afforded in one-day cricket, Laane dominated through four key batsmen, often leaving the rest of the order to sit back and watch.
Things were different on Saturday however, with many players making their highest run scores for the season.
Zac Polinelli was the richest benefactor, surpassing a half century with 52 runs, followed by Brad McHugh with 36, Nathan Leist with 33, Chris Lee with 28 in his first stint with the bat and Liam Hurse with 20, his first total of the season.
