Woman airlifted after tractor rollover

A woman was airlifted to a Melbourne hospital this week after the tractor she was driving rolled into a creek.

The incident occurred at an address on the Pyrenees Highway between Bung Bong and Avoca on Tuesday and saw Police, SES, paramedics and CFA crews arrive on scene at around 10.40 pm.

Maryborough SES unit controller Jesse Wright attended the incident and said the woman had a lucky escape.

“The incident occurred when a tractor the woman was working on rolled over into a creek,” he said.

“The woman was able to get herself out and was then assessed by paramedics. I’d say it was a pretty lucky escape.”
