Owls hopeful of big win against Colts

After a four-wicket haul last weekend, Maryboroughʼs Riley Kaye will hoping for a similar performance against Colts Phelans on Saturday.

Maryborough will be eager to defend its new-found second place ranking with a big result against Colts Phelans this weekend.

Colts would have to put up one hell of a fight to stand in the way of the Owls this Saturday, especially when a one-day final placing hangs in the balance.

By defeating Clunes last weekend, the Owls moved up into second place on the ladder and put themselves in contention to meet an undefeated Laanecoorie Dunolly in the one-day grand final next month.

The only thing that could stand in the way of Maryborough and a one- day cup appearance is a determined Clunes outfit, which will play second from the bottom of the ladder side, Beaufort next weekend (November 23).

The Owls are in great form to topple Colts this Saturday, having won three from four games while Colts have just suffered their third defeat.
