Driver flees scene of Napier Street crash

Emergency services were on the scene of a two-car collision on Napier Street earlier this week which saw one woman transported to hospital.

Emergency services rushed to Napier Street on Wednesday after a two-vehicle collision which saw one driver transported to hospital and the other flee the scene.

The accident occurred at around 3 pm when a silver Holden Commodore, travelling along Cross

Street, collided with a blue Audi Sedan travelling along Napier Street at the intersection opposite WDEA Works.

Goldfields Highway Patrol Leading Senior Constable Danielle Richardson said the female driver of the Audi absconded from the scene before police arrived.

“The vehicles have collided at that intersection and the female driver from the Audi has taken off towards the shopping area and Alma Street,” she said.

“The driver of the Commodore was transported to hospital for treatment.”
