Crows crumble under cracking performance from MKM in round six

MKMʼs Liam Radlof misses a leg side shot, forcing the Beaufort keeper to make a good save. The Crows struggled to get going on Saturday in a very one sided affair, with Mill enjoying a nine-wicket win, their second of the season.

MKM claimed its second win of the season in solid fashion, defeating Beaufort by nine wickets in its final one-day clash.

Much like the weeks before, the Crows struggled to get going with the bat but uncharacteristically, also struggled to claim wickets, providing the perfect opportunity for Mill to excel on home turf.

Beaufort elected to bat first and fell early in the order, losing its first four wickets for just 37 runs.

Top order batsmen Shannon Brown (2) and Blake Jantzen (11) were handled by Mill captain Aaron Westbrook, while Will Sargent (5) was dismissed by Jaxon Smyth and Nathan Clarke (0) by Chris Freeman.

Batting at sixth, Ben Isseppi, alongside Zac McLeod, saw just 10 runs before Westbrook came for him too, leaving Beaufort at 5/47.

Lachlan Oddie and McLeod saw the most successful partnership of the day with 28 runs between them before Joel Radlof dismissed McLeod (35).

Oddie and Cam McLeod saw the side into triple figures before Smyth claimed Oddie (24) and his replacement Andrew Stewart back-to-back.
