Avoca is still yet to taste victory in A grade and Colts Phelans will be eager to take advantage of that this weekend.
The Bulldogs kicked off their maiden A grade season by challenging one of the strongest teams in the competition, Clunes, losing by just 10 runs.
The following rounds haven’t been as promising for the Dogs who lost to Beaufort in round two, MKM in round three and Maryborough in round four.
Colts claimed their first win of the season in round three over MKM and will be gunning for win number two this weekend should the game survive the rain.
Like all round six games within the district, weather threatens to sabotage this weekend’s fixture with Avoca forecast to see rain on Saturday.
Should the match go ahead, both clubs will have to bring their a game to get the win, with Avoca eager to enjoy their first and Colts aiming for their second.
