Brad Hodge to bat for Newstead

The Newstead Cricket Clubʼs newest member, Brad Hodge, will go in to bat this weekend in the name of fundraising. All money will head straight back into the Newstead Primary School to help fix its oval and five-decade old cricket pitch.

Cricketing legend Brad Hodge will go in to bat for Newstead Cricket Club this weekend.

Hodge will don the baggy yellow this Sunday at the Newstead Recreation Reserve in a one off appearance for the Kangaroos.

There was a batting auction to open alongside Hodge and all funds raised via the auction, paid entry to the game and the Q&A session with Hodge afterwards will go to helping the Newstead Cricket Club refurbish the local primary school’s oval and 50-year-old cricket pitch.

The game starts at 12 pm this Sunday with a gold coin donation for entry.
