The powerful sounds of Maryborough’s largest organ and voices of the community will ring out through St Andrews Uniting Church this Sunday as HymnFest gets underway once again.
The event will see community members and local churches come together for an afternoon of hymns.
Organist Ian Steed said last year’s inaugural event attracted a large number of community members and hopes this year will be just as successful.
“HymnFest is open to all churches in the community, it’s an interdenominational event,” he said.
“Last time we had a full house and this year we’re having the priest from St Augustine’s participating in the service.
“It’s a service where we’ll just be singing a lot of popular music and hymns.”
HymnFest will take place on Sunday, November 10 from 2.30 pm at St Andrews Uniting Church on the corner of Neill and Palmerston streets.
