Woman escapes crash with non-life threatening injuries

A woman had a lucky escape this week after her car left the road and struck a tree before coming to rest on an embankment at Daisy Hill.

A driver involved in a single vehicle crash at Daisy Hill escaped with non-life threatening injuries earlier this week.

The accident occurred just before 11 am on Tuesday on the Ballarat- Maryborough Road when the approximately 40-year-old woman’s vehicle veered off the road.

The vehicle, which was heading towards Maryborough, travelled up an embankment and hit a tree before coming to a halt.

Goldfields Highway Patrol Senior Constable Tracey Harrison attended the scene and said the woman, who was the only occupant of the vehicle, was transported by road ambulance to hospital.
