The chance to claim a season-first win lays on the line for both Avoca and MKM this Saturday.
Mill were defeated heavily in round one by Laanecoorie Dunolly and then faced Clunes in round two, where they were handed a five- wicket loss despite a solid opening innings.
Avoca also lost to Clunes, but by a much closer margin of 10 runs in round one.
The Bulldogs then faced rivals Beaufort, with the pair meeting for the first time since both moving up from A reserve and the Crows powered through to claim victory.
Losing is an unfamiliar experience for the Bulldogs who, until this season, had gone undefeated since the 2017/18 A reserve one-day grand final.
Avoca went on to claim the next three reserve premierships consecutively and went completely undefeated for the entire 2018/19 season.
After great success, the side knew it was time for the move up and will be eager to get an A grade win on the board this round against MKM.
Mill has struggled with results for several years now, last seeing finals in 2013/14 and winning just two games last season.
