After two easy wins, Laanecoorie Dunolly will be put through its paces this weekend against Maryborough.
Laane has already won more games in two rounds than it had in the entire 2018/19 season and will be eager to make it three this weekend against its toughest competitor yet.
Laane knocked off MKM with ease in round one, winning by 137 runs and doubled down on this last weekend with a 176-run win over Colts Phelans.
Laanecoorie has benefitted greatly from the batting of Liam Mottram and Matt Smith over the past two rounds, with both already having made more than 150 runs, and Justin Bramble who stood out with a 67-run performance against Colts last weekend.
Nathan Dellavedova, Steven Dellavedova and Nikolai Charles currently lead Laane’s bowling with four wickets each over the two games, all of whom will be eager to increase this against some of the best bats in the competition this Saturday.
Maryborough has retained its top three batsmen and bowlers from last season and is sure to be more of a challenge this weekend.
Current Maryborough captain, Martin Dell was incredibly important for the Owls last year, making 443 runs and taking 16 wickets and will lead from the front this season.
