Redbacks get redemption over Natte with five-goal win

Natteʼs Jye Mortlock tries to get a handball off with Carisbrookʼs Lewis Rinaldi hot on his tail.

Carisbrook relished in the opportunity to defeat the only side to have beaten it this year, with a five goal win over Natte Bealiba at the weekend.

Natte toppled the Redbacks in front of a home crowd when they met earlier this year and Brook was keen to extend the same favour at the pond on Saturday.

Natte kicked the first goal of the game when Will Collicoat snapped a goal from 30 metres out directly in front, but it was Carisbrook that took the upper hand with the next four goals in succession.

Brook continued to get the ball out of the middle with Matt Johnson and Nick Wright providing quick usage of the ball to the forwards.

Ash Munari kicked two goals for the quarter with Riley Herd and Lachlan Cunningham also kicking truly for Carisbrook to lead at quarter time by 19 points.

At the opening bounce of the second quarter, Jackson Bowen put the ball straight down Wright’s throat as he kicked long to see Cunningham claim the first goal of the term inside the first 20 seconds.
