Maldon moves up the ladder with win over Park

Maldonʼs Hayden Kelly kicks his side forward during the Bombersʼ 42-point win over Royal Park at the weekend.

Maldon may have done itself a disservice with a win over Royal Park at the weekend, as it moved the side up to sixth place on the ladder ahead of elimination finals this weekend.

The Bombers will now face Newstead, instead of Talbot in a do- or-die first round of finals.

The Steaders head in off the back of a 120-point win over Dunolly while Talbot was crushed by a strong Natte Bealiba.

Maldon has however beat both sides throughout the season by a similar margin and will head in confident regardless.

The Bombers showed off their strength at the weekend with a 42- point win over Royal Park.

The Tigers looked pretty good after the first term, sitting just eight points behind at quarter time.
