Maryborough will get the chance for redemption this weekend as it faces the side that recorded the biggest win over the Pies so far this season.
When Maryborough and Gisborne met in round six, the Bulldogs put up a massive 78 goals and came to an impressive 45-goal win — the largest loss the Pies have suffered from any side this year.
After Gisborne lucked out to Sandhurst in last year’s grand final, the Bulldogs have taken the A grade competition by storm, dropping just one game this season and keeping a firm grip on first place on the ladder.
This is an intimidating prospect for Maryborough which will likely serve as a way for the Bulldogs to flex their muscles this weekend.
