Local swimming success

Six of the Maryborough Swimming Club’s young swimmers took on a competition in Eaglehawk last month.

The swimmers took part in the Eaglehawk winter series two meet at the Gurry Wanyarra Wellbeing centre and where they had plenty of success.

Alyssa Turner swam well securing three personal best times and first place in the 25 metre backstroke.

Jayden Brydon continued to show improvement and achieved two personal best times.

Lilly Olver had a good day and came home with a first place in the 25 metre breaststroke and third in the 25 metre freestyle.

Will Jardine took out second place in the 50 metre backstroke and third in the 25 metre butterfly. He is continuing to make steady progress after a fractured collarbone.

Angus Jardine was very pleased with his first in the 50 metre backstroke.

Coltyn Brydon, who is the club’s youngest swimmer, swam competitively for the first time at Eaglehawk.
