Just one Carisbrook Lady Redbacks side, the under 13s, took to the field for the final home and away round of the season and emerged victorious in muddy conditions.
After a tough year, the youngest Redbacks fought through three scoreless quarters against Lake Wendouree on Sunday to come out on top by two points in the final term.
Just four behinds was enough to get the job done and awarded the side with their second win of the season.
Misty-Lee Carter, Tamika Rumpff, Rhani Evans, Tiani Jardine, Chloe Drew and Imogen Bennett claimed votes in a tough last game.
Both the under 18s and senior Redbacks didn’t play at the weekend due to forfeiture, prematurely ending their respective home and away campaigns.
The seniors couldn’t get enough numbers to head down to Bacchus Marsh and so finished their season in seventh place on the ladder with five wins for the year.
East Point forfeited to the under 18s, but the youth Redbacks aren’t done for the season yet.
