Harcourt to face Carisbrook in last game before finals

Paige McLean of Carisbrook looks for options during a top-of-the-table clash with Avoca last Saturday. Brook will now take on top four side Harcourt in the final home and away round.

Harcourt will face great preparation for finals this weekend as it comes up against Carisbrook.

The Lions are locked into fourth place on the ladder, six points clear of Natte Bealiba in fifth, guaranteeing them a double chance during the finals series.

They will be grateful for this safety net ahead of the weekend where they will meet the Redbacks, a side that beat them comfortably back in round four.

The Lions couldn’t keep up with the Redbacks at all, conceding what was their first loss of the year in a 27-53 result.

During the round four match, Harcourt shot at just 53 percent for the entire game, with accuracy dipping as low as 29 percent in one quarter.

The Lions have gotten stronger as the season has progressed and have shot at around 75 percent during the last few rounds, which is very important against Carisbrook’s tight defensive unit.
