Rovers were selected as one of 10 Victorian clubs throughout the 2019 season to host the game of the month which will see special guests, AFL legend Peter Knights, current Geelong player Mitch Duncan, former Australian Diamonds player Eloise Southby and current Melbourne Vixens goal shooter Mwai Kumwenda head to Maryborough for a day of football and netball. Geelong superstar Tom Hawkins, who was scheduled to appear at the event, will no longer be attending.
