Pyjama packs set to help women in need

Women experiencing medical emergencies will have their trips to hospital made more comfortable thanks to the Zonta Club of the Central Goldfields.

This week the club donated packs to the Maryborough District Health Service (MDHS) filled with pyjamas and under garments which will help women who don’t have time to pack the essentials when being admitted to hospital.

Zonta Club president Bronwyn Haywood said the organisation regularly drops off the packs as part of its ongoing support of local women.

“We raised money to buy the night attire for women who come into hospital in need, whether it’s for reasons like trauma or because they’ve have to leave home quickly and haven’t been able to grab anything, or are victims of domestic violence,” she said.
