Maryborough’s A grade netballers were put through the wringer at the weekend, defeated heavily by second placed Sandhurst for the second time this season.
The weekend’s 29-goal defeat was just one goal different to Maryborough’s round four result against Sandhurst where it went down by 28 goals.
Saturday’s first quarter went well for the home side, who sat just one goal down by quarter time.
The Dragons lashed out in the second term, shooting 21 goals while keeping Borough to just nine, allowing them a 33-20 lead over the home side at the major break.
Sandhurst only tightened again in the last two quarters, putting up 21 to 12 in the third and 13 to 20 in the final term, leading to the 45-74 defeat.
