The junior Carisbrook Lady Redbacks had a day out on Sunday, claiming two valiant wins for the club.
The under 13s enjoyed their very first win of the season with a 13- point defeat of the Ballarat Storm.
The Redbacks kicked 1.1 (7) for the first half of the match while keeping the Storm completely scoreless.
Both sides battled hard to gain possession in the third term and Ballarat managed to put just one behind up to trail by six points heading into the final dance.
Carisbrook sealed the deal by kicking one major and one minor score in the final quarter, to finish as 2.2 (14) to 0.1 (1) victors.
In her return after injury, Misty- Lee Carter kicked the side’s first goal in a best on ground performance while Eden Weaver backed it up in the final with the team’s second major.
