Former shire CEO repays almost $10,000 to council

Former Central Goldfields Shire CEO Mark Johnston has repaid the almost $10,000 he was convicted of misusing.

Mr Johnston was convicted and ordered to pay $26,000 in fines last year for misuse of his council credit card to the total of $9415.71 between the years 2009-2013. He was also ordered to pay $10,000 towards the prosecution’s legal costs but wasn’t required to pay back the misused money to local council.
