Passengers travelling on the Ararat/Maryborough line last month experienced 100 percent reliability for the first time since October 2017 according to new performance results.
V/Line’s June performance data showed that all V/Line trains operating on the line ran throughout the month, surpassing the reliability target of 96 percent.
However, during the same period, only 84.3 percent of trains ran on time, missing V/Line’s punctuality target of 92 percent.
According to V/Line, punctuality is measured on time to 10 minutes 59 seconds on long distance services, such as the Ararat/Maryborough line.
Despite punctuality for June missing the target, it was V/Line’s highest recorded punctuality on the Ararat/Maryborough line since November last year, which saw 86.1 percent of services run on time.
