Six swimmers from the Maryborough Swimming Club kicked off the winter short course season at the new Gurri Wanyarra Wellbeing Centre in Bendigo last Sunday.
After taking a short break from the end of the summer season, all of the hard work in the pool has paid off with solid performances from all swimmers.
The youngest of the group, Angus Jardine stepped up to the 50 metre distance and won all three of his events.
Will Jardine won his breaststroke and came third in backstroke with a personal best time.
Jayden Brydon swam well in his four events and achieved a personal best time in his breaststroke.
Lilly Olver claimed second placings in 25 metre breaststroke and freestyle and swam three personal best times.
Alyssa Turner had four solid swims winning 25 metre backstroke and two personal best times.
And finally, Celeste Lean swam well in her four events achieving three personal best times and securing a qualifying time for the Country Short Course Championships to be held in Ballarat in August.
