After leading at quarter time, Royal Park couldn’t maintain its drive on Saturday, lucking out to Talbot by 23 points.
In what was one of the matches of the round, Royal Park took it up to Talbot, but the visitors showed their depth in talent by running away with the victory.
The Tigers came out of the blocks firing, kicking three straight to 2.1 to lead by five points at quarter time.
Talbot wrestled back to take the lead heading into the main break by 11 points.
An even third quarter still saw Royal Park in with a chance sitting just 13 points down at three quarter time.
However, the Hawks held on and booted 3.3 to Park’s 0.2, extending their final winning margin to 23 points.
