This round’s match between Harcourt and Maryborough Rovers is important as both sides fight to prove themselves after mixed starts to the season.
Rovers and Harcourt have four wins in the bank already, with the Magpies having conceded three losses while the Lions have lost just two, having played one less game so far due to the bye.
Rovers have lost to Avoca and lower ranked sides Talbot and Lexton this season and almost conceded the points to Royal Park in round four.
The Lions claimed a very narrow win over Maldon, a side yet to win any games, only beat out Talbot by 10 goals, and conceded losses to both Carisbrook and Natte Bealiba.
These 2019 results are concerning for two sides that finished in the top four last season.
