Campbells Creek host Harcourt this Sunday in the Castlemaine Derby Blue Ribbon game.
It has been a very difficult season so far for Campbells Creek, and despite Harcourt’s recent loss of form with three defeats in succession, the Lions should be able to return to the winners list this week.
The Lions have met three of the premiership fancies in Carisbrook, Trentham and Natte Bealiba in succession and have been found wanting on each occasion, especially last week against the Swans when they allowed nearly 30 goals to be scored against them.
The Lions promised so much early in the season, but have fallen away and are in need of a winning boost to recharge their batteries for the games ahead of them.
A beacon of hope for Creek is set to shine this weekend however with the return of former AFL player Russell Robertson.
