Maryborough gets the chance to redeem itself of a round one fumble, coming up against South Bendigo for the second time this season.
With just 10 senior sides in the Bendigo Football League’s senior competition, an 18 round season will see all sides meet eachother twice.
Last weekend marked the halfway point of the season and Maryborough currently sits on three wins and six losses in sixth place on the ladder.
This is encouraging for the Pies as this weekend’s competitor sits in seventh place with just two wins after facing the exact same line up of teams.
Maryborough has made some incredible ground since it last met the Bloods, putting on some cracking performances and breaking multiple four-year long win records.
While the tale of redemption after a few tough seasons has already begun, the ultimate satisfaction would be to topple the side that denied the Pies their first result of the year.
The round one clash saw Maryborough start in awful fashion, trailing by 46 points at halftime.
