It’s all happening at the Maryborough Senior Citizens Club this week, with a power of attorney information session and monster garage sale set to inform and delight visitors.
The free powers of attorney information session will be run by the club, in conjunction with Mary- borough District Health Service (MDHS).
A power of attorney is a legal document authorising a person (the appointed attorney) to act on another person’s (the principal’s) behalf.
Maryborough Senior Citizens Club president Veronika Miles said powers of attorney is an important issue everyone should be aware of.
“It’s important for anybody over 18 to do this. Things have changed so some powers of attorney are no longer in date,” she said.
The session will run this Thursday, June 13 from 10 am at the Senior Citizens Hall and will be conducted by MDHS’ Chris Gilfillan.
The Senior Citizens club will also be hosting a monster garage sale this Saturday.
