After a spectacular grand final show down last year, Carisbrook and Trentham will meet for the first time since then, this weekend.
As the undisputed heavyweights of the competition last year, the Saints claimed premiership victory over Carisbrook, but only just after a draw pushed the game into overtime.
A lot has happened since then, with Trentham now conceding two losses this season after back-to-back years undefeated and Carisbrook currently sitting on a five-game winning streak.
Both sides are altered from the last time they met, Carisbrook’s midcourt is completely changed with Anika Munn and Amanda Cox stepping into the wings and league best and fairest Laura Hurse making the move from goals into centre.
Trentham have lost former leading goalie Jane O’Donohue, centre Stacey Parks and have moved Sharna Ford from goals into the mid to make way for Elly Rose in the ring.
