Locals using the Maryborough passenger line continued to wait for services last month, with 79.1 percent of all services reaching their destination on time, according to recently released data from Public Transport Victoria (PTV).
The Maryborough/ Ararat line ranked in with the second worst punctuality rate for any V/Line service, however the rate did slightly improve compared to the previous month, up from 78.1 percent.
The result is also worse than V/Line’s state-wide average for the month of April, which saw 86.8 percent of services arrive on time.
According to V/Line, punctuality is measured on time to 10 minutes 59 seconds on long distance services, such as the Maryborough/ Ararat line.
Despite the delay in some services reaching their destination on time throughout April, 99.7 percent of trains on the Maryborough/ Ararat line were ran, well above V/Line’s reliability target of 96 percent.
