Royal Park hands Creek 226-point loss to claim first win for 2019

Royal Park travelled to meet Campbells Creek at the weekend and was rewarded with a colossal 226-point victory.

Park got off to a cracking start in the first quarter, kicking 9.8 to Creek’s single goal.

The pile on continued in the second quarter, with the Tigers posting their highest quarter score of the day with 12 goals.

Creek had one attempt at goal in the second but with only a minor score resulting, the Pies lagged behind by an astonishing 133 points with two quarters of football remaining.

Park nailed a further eight goals in the third, but allowed the home side to snag two through the posts to take their total to a lowly 19 points.

The Tigers drove their triple- figure victory home with an eight- goal final quarter, finishing the game 3.1 (19) to 37.23 (245).

Royal Park made the most of a downtrodden opponent, on average taking a shot at goal every 80 seconds.
