Maryborough was crushed at the weekend, but that shouldn’t stop it from a competitive showing against a visiting Kyneton this Saturday.
The Pies have already faced three of the current top four sides just six rounds into the season and as a result have suffered some pretty harsh defeats.
The most recent of which was last weekend where the Magpies fell to second-placed Gisborne by a massive 112 points.
Kyneton has faced some fierce competitors in top three sides Strathfieldsaye, Gisborne and Golden Square, losing to all three but was able to claim wins over South Bendigo, Kangaroo Flat and Castlemaine in between.
Maryborough lost to South by 32 points in round one while the Tigers narrowly claimed victory over the Bloods by just two points last weekend.
