After a shattering loss at the weekend, Maryborough will look to boost its spirits this weekend against bottom of the ladder side, Golden Square.
The Pies had a tough slog last weekend, taking on last year ’s premiers without four of its key players.
Taking to the court with several fill ins and a few players in experimental positions, a 60-32 loss could’ve and probably should have been much worse.
This defeat will make a clash with the only A grade side yet to win a game this weekend, all the more appealing.
The Bulldogs’ latest defeat came at the hands of South Bendigo, going down by 23 goals last Saturday.
Considering the Magpies were able to topple South by eight goals in round one, the Dogs shouldn’t pose too much of a threat to the Pies this round.
