Maryborough’s A grade netball side is in for a tough task this weekend, coming up against 2018 grand final runners up, Gisborne in round six.

The Pies head into the match with a 50/50 success rate so far this season, with two wins and two losses behind them.

Gisborne has claimed all four of its games this year and will be out for its fifth straight win this Saturday.

Just five from 18 games down, it’s hard to gauge where each side sits, but the Dogs and the Pies have met one common competitor this season, with Gisborne producing a much better result.

Maryborough claimed its first win of the season over South Bendigo in round one, beating the Bloods out by just eight goals.

When Gisborne met South last round, the Dogs claimed a solid 20- goal victory, hinting at a very tough game this weekend for the Pies.

The last time Maryborough met Gisborne was in 2018 where the Dogs claimed a 69-41 loss.
