Tiny towns put on the map for annual arts trail

Tiny Towns Arts Trail organiser Judy Meldrum is encouraging everyone to come along and check out the huge range of local artworks which will be on display around the district this month.

If you’re looking to take a break from easter egg hunting next week, the 2019 Tiny Towns Arts Trail will delight those from near and far with a huge range of local artworks.

In its fourth year, the arts trail encompasses nine towns including Dunolly, Maryborough, Tarnagulla, Bealiba, Avoca, and Talbot and will have 21 venues displaying local works.

Event organiser Judy Meldrum said the event has been growing in popularity and has “something for everyone”.

“There’s a lot of arts trails around and some very sophisticated ones, but we like to think our trail is about networking people who live creative lives, from places like Central Goldfields Art Gallery to small-town artists,” she said.

“There’s a lot going on in different levels of art and community in this region.

The event will run over two weekends on April 20, 21, 27 and 28 and information pamphlets can be found at local businesses including the Dunolly Bakery, Central Goldfields Visitor Information Centre in Maryborough, Talbot Provedore and Eatery and Gallery 127 Avoca.
