Market celebrates 15 years

Talbot Farmersʼ Market volunteer committee member Helen Hazelman is one of many locals preparing to celebrate the marketʼs 15th birthday this Sunday.

One of the Central Goldfields Shire’s most popular markets is celebrating a special milestone this weekend.

The Talbot Farmers’ Market will celebrate its 15th birthday in style on Sunday with a day of fun, entertainment and the great shopping it has provided the region for more than a decade.

Talbot Farmers’ Market marketing officer, Felicity Martin said the day will include some special talks from stall holders.

“We have organised some interesting talks from our talented stall holders, giving people tips on how to grow their seedlings for the best results, what bio-dynamic farming is all about and how walnuts can change people’s lives,” she said.

“This will give visitors a chance to hear the stories of our producers and ask those questions you always wanted answered.”

The Talbot Farmers’ Market will run this Sunday from 9 am to 1 pm in Scandinavian Crescent and Camp Street, Talbot.
