Colts on the hunt for more premiership glory

Colts Phelans captain Dayne Baker bowls during semi finals last weekend. The win will see Colts head into this weekendʼs two-day grand final against Clunes.

For the second time this season, Colts Phelans and Clunes will battle it out for an A grade premiership title in the Maryborough District Cricket Association’s two-day A grade grand final this weekend.

Colts head into the weekend as hot favourites after a successful long-form cricket season off the back of an impeccable one-day stretch, including a one-day cup win over the Pies.

Colts have dropped just one game all season, lucking out in the first two-dayer of the season against Maryborough, but has gone on to comfortably win the remainder of its games.

The last time Clunes and Colts went head-to-head was not too long ago in round nine where the Pies conceded a 77-run loss.
