Dunolly Blueʼs Terry Long bowls during the midweek semi-final match with Highland Tartan on Tuesday.

The weather was unkind for midweek pennant’s semifinals, seeing all sides battling wind and rain, together with a smattering of sunshine.

Talbot, after just sneaking into fourth position last week, defeated Maryborough Golf by 27 shots to earn themselves a spot in preliminary finals.

Talbot took the lead early and were untroubled to run out comfortable victors.

Leading by 21 shots at the lunch break they maintained their ascendancy to win all rinks.

Kathy Andrews, Barb Crossley and Geraldine Smith were Talbot’s winning skips defeating Golf ’s Leanne Burt, Liz Bucknall and Val Mortlock.

Dunolly Blue kept their perfect record intact by defeating Highland Tartan two rinks to one.

Dunolly now head into the grand final in two weeks time full of confidence as they have gone through the entire season without being defeated.

Maryborough Tartan tried hard and although they sat 11 shots behind at halftime they dug deep, trailing by just three shots with 15 ends to be played.

Dunolly to their credit answered the challenge, eventually winning by 13 shots overall.
