Lochinver Farm Homestead takes out top accommodation award

Lochinver Farm Homestead and Cottagesʼ Alison Teese is pleased to have earned Booking.comʼs 2018 Guest Review Award.

Carisbrook’s own Lochinver Farm Homestead and Cottages is officially one of the most loved accommodation properties in the region after taking out a guest review award last month.

The homestead has received the Booking.com 2018 Guest Review award for its top service and beautiful country setting.

The award is part of Booking.com’s (a travel fare aggregator website and travel metasearch engine for lodging reservations) Guest Review Awards program, an annual appreciation program that recognises partners for their top-notch hospitality according to review scores left by guests after their stay.

Properties eligible for the award needed a review score of between eight and 10 out of 10 and at least five online reviews, and with a 9.9 out of 10 rating, Lochinver’s Alison Teese said she’s pleased with the win.

“I’m very pleased with the award,” she said.

“We’ve been with Booking.com for about two years and we get a few bookings through it, but we do find that although people will find us on the website they often call and book directly with us.”

The property has been providing accommodation for 30 years after a friend encouraged Ms Teese to get into the accommodation business.

“My husband’s family moved here in 1891 so the property has a lot of family history,” she said.
