Goldfields Image Makers exhibition now on display

Goldfields Image Makers secretary Heather Bell, alongside Bruce Fountain, John Fountain and treasurer Brent Fairchild are among those who currently have their photographs on display at the Maryborough Resource Centre.

A diverse, varied and all-round impressive collection of photographs are now on display at the Maryborough Resource Centre until the end of the month, thanks to the Goldfields Image Makers.

The photographs on display were all taken during 2018, with many of them being award-winning shots from the group’s end of year competition.

Goldfields Image Makers’ John Fountain said the club has been doing these displays for over 10 years and the judges, who traveled from Melbourne, were very impressed with the quality of images presented last year.

“The judges said it was very hard to tell the work of a novice from an experienced photographer, which is a great compliment,” he said.

“For a club of around 30 people, the variety of photos is great.”

Varying in subject, location and style, there are photos from across Australia and overseas on display.

The Goldfields Image Makers is hosting a social night at the Senior Citizens Centre, opposite Maffescioni Motors, on Thursday, January 17 with all members of the public welcome to come along for $2 entry.
