Colts and MKM clash set to be a battle of the bowlers

MKMʼs Jason Sinclair plays down the leg side during last roundʼs clash with the Creswick Imperials.

Colts Phelans, which suffered its first loss of the season last round, will be out for redemption when it comes up against a struggling MKM side this Saturday.

Colts had an unbelievable start to the 2018-19 season, remaining completely undefeated through all six rounds of one-day cricket and finishing it off with the one-day cup.

The side had hoped to continue its success in two day cricket, but a 28- run loss to two-day specialists, Maryborough, put an end to Colts’ unblemished record last month.

Although the Colts were able to bowl out their opposition, in a similar fashion to previous winning matches, the side wasn’t able to produce the runs needed to claim what would’ve been their seventh win in a row.

MKM hasn’t been as successful this season, losing five from six matches.
