As a champion for the Dunolly Football Netball Club on the netball court, Ashlee Lierich is used to working hard for her club, but this year she is taking her love for the Eagles one step further by accepting the role of president for 2019.
As former club vice-president and A grade netball captain Lierich is no stranger to leadership and said that although the new role presents a lot of responsibility, she is confident that Dunolly will support her.
“It’s a little bit daunting, but I think because I love the club so much and because I have been there for the past 15 years, the thought of not helping or not doing what I could is worse,” she said.
“It is a lot of responsibility but we have some really great people at the club and I’m confident that they will support me. It makes it easier going into the role knowing that.
“We’ve got a really settled committee now and we’re ready to communicate effectively and work towards a common goal for our club.
