Maryborough’s Matthew Dellavedova is heading back to his debut NBA side, the Cleveland Cavaliers, after a multi-player deal saw him traded from the Milwaukee Bucks on Saturday.
Dellavedova had a tough start to his third season with the Bucks, playing just half of Milwaukee’s
games and averaging a career-low of eight minutes per game when he was called to the floor.
The mid-season trade was executed as Milwaukee, a genuine championship contender, looked to free up salary cap space and gain more experience on the court.
The trade will see the 28-year-old head back to the Cavs where it all began some six years ago.
Dellavedova made his NBA debut with Cleveland in 2013 and went on to win an NBA championship in 2016 before he made the move to the Bucks.
