In its returning season to the Maryborough District Cricket Association (MDCA), Beaufort will take on reigning two-day premiers Avoca in the 2018-19 one-day A reserve final next month.
The Crows, who last fielded a senior team in the MDCA in the 2014-15 season, will take on the powerhouse that is Avoca on December 1 for the one-day cup.
The Bulldogs will be confident ahead of next month’s clash, having handed Beaufort a five-wicket defeat at the weekend.
Beaufort elected to bat first on Saturday, sending skipper Shannon Brown and Cameron McLeod to the crease.
The pair managed just eight runs between them before Brown was dismissed by Nathan Holland.
Zac and Cameron McLeod added just five runs in partnership before Cameron was claimed by Avoca co- captain Lachlan Morganti.
Zac McLeod lasted just five runs alongside new partner Ricky Henricksen before he too was claimed by Morganti.
Jay English (9) and Henricksen held for a 22-run partnership, before Avoca’s Jason Hunt claimed English, his first wicket of the day.
