Laanecoorie Dunolly is the only B grade side to get through the first half of the 2018-19 season undefeated, after a six wicket victory over Talbot at the weekend.
After electing to bat first, Talbot was able to put up a score of all out for 174.
Talbot boasted two half centuries by the end of its innings, with Daniel Romeo adding 67 runs and Karl Gunther contributing 53.
Despite a respectable score, Laane needed just 35 overs to eclipse Talbot’s total, with a score of 4/185.
Callan Evans, Romeo and Jack Kenden were Talbot’s only wicket takers while bowler Justin Parker was the most impactful for Laane, taking three wickets for the day.
Laane currently sit on top of the Maryborough District Cricket Association’s B grade ladder, while Talbot sit in third, ahead of a two-week break before round five gets underway.
