The only two A grade sides yet to win a game this season will go head-to-head when the Creswick Imperials meet MKM this weekend.
After coming runners-up to Laanecoorie Dunolly in the one-day grand final last season, competitive cricket was expected of the Knights this season as well.
But after the loss of prevalent runscorer Kane Leathem and top wicket taker Ash Coxall, the Imperials have struggled to produce the same standard of play.
The side has looked within its own ranks to find replacements for lost key players and has found Pearce Antonio and co-captain of the side, Lachlan Pryor to fill the runscoring gap.
Josh Mitchell and Bryce Antonio are the side’s top wicket takers and this weekend should be a chance to add more to their tally.
Even after a tough 2017-18 season, MKM has undergone no team changes whatsoever for the current MDCA season.
